Quarter Past Two

Today I listened to the current number 9 album ‘Unfinished Business’ by Fredo.

The main reason why I’m listening to 2023 music is that the next 1986 album on the list is 80 minutes of experimental music and I really need to build up to that.

Fredo references Dave in his album. I don’t think it’s a diss track. Apparently, Fredo was in jail with Dave’s brother.

I’m going to label this album as political. It’s a political album and many of the tracks are political.

But I don’t think any of the tracks have impact. The album is named ‘Unfinished Business’ and it is known that when you die, you become a ghost if you have unfinished business. And the problem with being a ghost is that it is difficult to finish your business. You can’t touch anything or interact with people. You have a mission and no one knows what you’re doing.

I worry, Fredo, that this is not a good metaphor for your album. You don’t want to be unseen and ineffective! You shouldn’t aim to be a ghost. If you’re going to be undead consider the Zombie – a total commitment to one aim or maybe a vampire – charming and effective but only at night and by invitation (and not in my house. It’s like, I want to be vegan but love cheese. I want to be vampire but love garlic! What can I do?!)

Anyways! 3 months ago, I began a blog post and today I have published it! This post is a purely Stout appreciation post. I have tried many! many! loads of different stouts – from shops! from pubs! from micro pubs! from universities! (I may have overexaggerated the sources of the stouts…it’s mainly from shops). However, if you sorta like stouts and want to know what I think is the best, you should consider this side blog. My views on stout are as perfect as my views on music!
